There are times in life when challenges present themselves, and these changes and challenges become unbearable to handle alone. It is during these times that it is helpful to work through issues with a counselor or therapist. We all know life has its ups and downs and no one is immune, but we each have the ability to choose how to react and deal with these problems. Counseling will help you achieve long term improvements, so you can get back to your everyday life routines. Counseling and psychotherapy has been shown to be very effective in increasing overall well being.

You are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and happiness. My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is filled with joy and happiness. We work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life by applying short term and in depth therapy techniques personalized for each individual.

What to Expect

When a person first enters therapy, we talk at length about the problems and difficulties the client is experiencing. I then suggest a treatment plan, such as psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioral or humanistic, based on a client’s specific needs. I offer brief, solution-oriented therapy or in-depth psychotherapy.

Goals for Psychotherapy

I work to help clarify needs and work through anxiety, panic attacks, anger, depression, grief, marital issues and life transitions, such as divorce or career change. Most importantly, I help individuals identify their strengths, as well as identify areas in which they need to grow.

Areas of focus

I offer individual, couples, family and group counseling, in a comfortable and confidential office. I am experienced helping clients with depression and mood disorders, anxiety, anger, abuse, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, relationships, sexuality issues, couple and career transitions, women’s issues, men’s issues, adolescent development issues, attention deficit disorders, eating disorders and addictions. I am also skilled in helping artists, musicians and writers enhance their creativity.

For organizations, I offer evaluations, consultation, and training. I provide employee assistance programs, substance abuse, forensic, and custody evaluations. I also conduct numerous workshops and seminars to fit organizational training needs
